Dr. Jacobsen prides himself on his ladies having minimal bruising. Occasionally ladies
will have bruising. It will usually subside within the first week and certainly by the
second week. If the bruising is firm and looks dramatic notify Dr. Jacobsen's office. This
could be a hematoma, an area of bleeding around the surgical site. This may be resolve
without surgical intervention but occasionally a patient will need to return to the
operating room to have the hematoma (blood collection) drained.
