No. Remember that the breast augmentation procedure is done behind your breast. There is
no surgery done on the breast tissue itself or on the nipple or the ducts leading to the
nipple that would potentially affect breast feeding. As a result breast-feeding is not
affected by breast augmentation placed behind the breast tissue. Dr. Jacobsen does not use
generally the incision around the nipple for breast augmentation as this requires
dissection through some of the milk ducts at the nipple level and could cause some
problems with breast-feeding in the future.
