Can under breast implants be converted to under the muscle?
Converting from over the muscle to under the muscle usually doesn't not work out well at
all in Dr. Jacobsen's experience. If your skin is already stretched from your implant and
muscle is not stretched then placing an implant then under the muscle will give you a
unfavorable appearance as there will be more skin than muscle. The implant can be placed
partially under the upper portion of the muscle however to help smooth out the upper
portion of the breast.
But your breasts can be made to look very favorable with other techniques. Typically
removing the capsule around your present implant and placing a silicine implant in its
place will usually give a softer more naturally shaped breast that you will like much
better.
